Poems written on the Inquiries

Be Free

My dear Friends
Dearest Humanity
Here my cries!

I cry in pain. I cry with joy
Echoes that drift across the cloudless sky
They never leave a mark
So there’s no need to be afraid
Come close my child
For love is all that remains

There’s no more searching
For nothing has ever been lost
Look into your own hearts
See the perfection in it all
Hold on to nothing, oh sweet ones
Just smile, let it flow on by

This is the time
Relax and enjoy the ride
Be free to feel all that you feel
There is nowhere to hide

Believe in yourselves
Trust the knowingness inside
This wisdom is who you are
It is your very own guide

Open your arms to the world
Feel the love that connects us all
Be free to bask in the wide open space
Be free, be free with it all

What Remains

I walked alone for many a year
Lifetimes of searching
Lifetimes of fear

The ragged sea, it did compound me
Weathered and Beaten
I had no sense of me
Lost in a haze, lost at sea

Confusion was a place I knew
Life turning round and round in my head
Imprisoned behind bars, for a crime
The sentence so huge

Shall I be released
As I sing songs to open my heart
Shall I step out from shadows
As I speak words to open my mind

No more can I endure
The ragged rocks
I am so torn

No more fighting, my friend
There is no battle that needs to be won
Nothing ever leaves a mark
Or obscures the brightness of the sun

So, rest assured my fellow men
Hear the sounds, don’t mask your ears
Don’t hold on to what you once feared
Don’t be afraid of your beating heart
Of the terror that comes sharply in the night

Don’t be fooled by the feelings inside
No need for careful selection or pride
Of grabbing hold of pretty things
To show you how to fulfil life’s dreams

For everything is a moving painting, it’s like a mirage
It comes and goes, just like the tide
And what remains, will remain and remain and remain and remain
